Thus, changing and installing dies is an inevitable step in process of production. However, dies of CNC Press Brakes are composed of many components and parts. When installing or adjusting dies of these machines, you’d better check the condition of your machines and follow steps strictly. This passage will briefly introduce 5 tips of die installation to you to help install or adjust dies of press brakes.
1.Adjust the press brake at first
You should adjust the press brake before installing the upper die and lower die. In order to ensure a good performance of the machine, you are supposed to pay much attention to checking whether there is dust or scrap iron on the machine. Clean them up in case of trouble.
2.Adjust the stroke of the slide
Please check the thickness of dies and proportion of the upper die and the lower die, when you adjust the stroke of the slide.
3.Adjust the upper change point of the slide
When the slide moves to the highest place, please set the switch and make room for the slide to stop. Besides, reduction gear is necessary when the slide moves down to protect the machine and dies.
4.Adjust the gap
Firstly, you can measure distance between the upper die and the lower die. Then, determine the clearance according to your plates.
5.Adjust the angle
The adjustment of angle is connected with the product. If you want to bend products with 90°, you should keep the middle angle greater than the angle of both sides. You can adjust the angle according to adjusting screw. Then, in the process of bending, you can adjust the angle.
